SINOPSIS

Un pescador rompe accidentalmente el motor de su bote y queda a la deriva, aproximándose peligrosamente a la frontera con Corea del sur.

Después de soportar muchas y brutales investigaciones, finalmente es enviado de vuelta a Corea del norte.

Antes de dejar Corea del sur, verá cuán desarrollado es el país, pero también sus contrastantes lados oscuros.

Se da cuenta de que el desarrollo económico no significa felicidad para el pueblo.

Una vez vuelto a casa, recibe las mismas investigaciones que padeció en el sur, y siente gran tristeza de ser un ser humano atrapado entre la ideología de los dos países divididos.

Comentario del Director

A pesar de la voluntad, los seres humanos se quedan atascados en la ideología de sus lugares de origen, donde nacieron.

A través del pescador (Chul-woo), quien sufre, y mucho, yendo a Corea del Sur y volviendo a Corea del Norte en su bote averiado, nosotros vemos cómo somos sacrificados por la península coreana dividida. Y cómo la división crea una gran tristeza… - KIM Ki-duk-

DIRECTOR

KIM Ki-duk

Nacido en 1960. Luego de estudiar arte en París, KIM Ki-duk regresa a Korea y comienza su Carrera como guionista. Debutó como director con un film de bajo presupuesto, CROCODILE, en 1996. Desde entonces, KIM Ki-duk ha sido aclamado tanto por la prensa como por el público por sus personajes, por su estilo visual y sus mensajes. Su prestigiosa producción continuó con films como SAMARITAN GIRL (Oso de Plata por Mejor Dirección en Berlín 2004), 3-IRON (León de Plata por Mejor Dirección en Venecia 2004), ARIRANG (Premio en Un Certain Regard en Cannes

2011). PIETA ganó el León de Oro como Mejor Film en 2012 en Venecia. En 2013, MOEBIUS fue invitada en la sección fuera de competencia de Venecia, y en 2014, ONE ON ONE was el film de apertura deVenice Days.
